Achieving 90 days of Sobriety
Our goal at FTS is to equip you with the understanding and tools to achieve 90 days of sobriety from sexual compulsion/addiction. Why 90 days? A crucial aspect of recovering from sex addiction is the necessity to give your brain a chance to change, adapt and heal - a process known as neuroplasticity.
During this time, by abstaining from compulsive sexual behaviors and engaging in spiritual and therapeutic interventions, individuals can weaken the established neural pathways associated with addiction and strengthen new pathways that support healthier habits and behaviors. This process allows the brain to heal and rewire itself, leading to improved impulse control, emotional regulation, and a restored ability to experience pleasure from natural rewards. The 90-day timeframe is often recommended as it provides a solid foundation for this rewiring process and can help individuals break the cycle of addiction, paving the way for long-term recovery.
